ABOUT SEUSSICAL: Seussical, JR. is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! Tony winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life all of our favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, Lazy Mayzie and a little boy with a big imagination – Jojo. The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos.

ABOUT VTC KIDS: Seussical is part of VTC KIDS, a program that teaches our youngest actors to believe in their creative ideas, have the bravery to express them in front of others, and learn to be supportive of their peers. VTC KIDS learn basic theater techniques to communicate characters, feelings, and stories, which will increase their focus and exercise their imaginations. They develop trust through cooperation and collaboration – learning to accept and build on each other's creative ideas in an atmosphere of DREAM: Diversity, Reciprocity, Education, Activism and Mentorship. These skills will serve them not just for the stage – but for the stages of life!
REVISED COVID POLICIES:
* anyone entering Vanguard Theater represents that they are fully vaccinated or have received a negative PCR test within 48 hours.
* guests will be temperature/vaccination status checked and admission will be refused if a guest displays a temperature of over 100.4 degrees or COVID-like symptoms.
* While we are aware that CDC and State of NJ guidelines no longer require masks and social distancing for those who have been vaccinated, we will continue to ask audience members to wear masks in order to keep one another and our cast - many of whom are not fully vaccinated - safe. Our VTC Kids cast have already had the show delayed because of the Omicron variant, and we want to make sure that the show goes on!
* we have increased air filtration by purchasing an industrial air scrubber and several powerful HEPA air purifiers;
